March 2026 – update

So, as I was browsing through instagram I came across a wonderful tip to create some cool radial patterns on pottery using an Ikea battery operated milk frother !!! 

I did not note the author of the instagram post so cannot acknowledge you but whoever you are – thank you! It is such fun.

All you need is some of your glaze colours, a £1 Ikea battery operated milk frother and your bisque fired pot and away you go! Just dip the frother in your glaze, tap to remove excess (unless you want blobs too), then hold just inside the bowl and switch on the milk frother to create these wonderful patterns. Fabulous!
