There’s a special kind of magic in creating with clay.

My name is Jayne Chorley, and I make functional pottery in my garden studio. I use stoneware clays and throw on a potter’s wheel.

I really love combinations of colours, simple stencils which reveal the beauty of the bare clay, and flecks of colour to create grass- like landscapes.

I really hope that my pots will give as much joy in the owning as they do in the making!

My studio is named after my white cat, Martha!

We adopted Martha from the RSPCA several years ago. We quickly discovered that she was deaf, which makes her extra special.

Exceptionally affectionate and  inquisitive, Martha will sometimes join me in the studio.

She is adorable and the inspiration behind the White Cat logo and branding.
